inay had another stroke yesterday. stupid bitch mother decides to call me to tell me about it today. when i ask her why, again, for the second time, she decides to call me the day after my grandmother is rushed to the hospital, she starts getting bitchy. i try to go visit inay. the traffic is so bad that after two hours i'm still in orange county. and the air is so bad and i forgot my inhaler... i turn around and head home.
and then le sigh. fires all around again, and they're super intense. the yorba linda corona and anaheim hills fires are so close. they literally sprung up ... this morning? and have caused so much devastation. please evacuate if you are told to, or get ready/pack if you're in areas close by and may possible be evacuated. a lot of freeways are closed, or like it was for me, super packed. stay safe everyone...
and i have tendonitis again. just as the doctor predicted, it flared up again. i'm pretty sure this means i really have to get the surgery now.

day of blahness. blah. ehh. blah.
went to target. sex and the city was sold out!!! the huge display was EMPTY! i found one random copy of the bluray version, so then i went and asked an employee if they really were sold out. he shuddered and said that at lunch time a whole crowd of ladies came in and cleaned them out. hahah, he looked so frightened talking about it. ended up getting it from costco, not on sale at 21.99 vs target's 17.99, but whatever.
watching the dvd right now... yay for the extra scenes so far! yay for an awesome movie to brighten a dreary day!

So The Regents visit is over. Day of execution went pretty smoothly; I think the biggest loop we got was the protesting. Protesters? At Irvine? Seriously? It was definitely tiring though- I worked from about 5:30am to... ???pm. The earliest I left was around 6pm one day and that was only because I had to go to the dry cleaners to pick up my suit.
And the word is that the Board of Regents were so impressed with how smoothly everything went, they want to meet at UCI on a more regular basis, instead of once every ten years.
Hooray? I haven't decided if that's sarcastic or sincere.
But however stressful it was, it was my first event, and now it's over. And I'm honestly sad.
So um reshuffling in my department again and I'm not the Event Coord anymore. I'm back to Adjudication (citations) tomorrow, and I'm just... hmm.
I decided on taking the wedding planner certificate class at cal poly this winter. Hooray to that.
So I went to the mother's house and saw an invite for godbrother's wedding. I'm looking forward to it, but NOT looking forward to being stuck with my mom all day. I was literally there at her house for maybe 15 minutes tops, and she still managed to seriously piss me off.
Papa's birthday is this week. He would have been 69. It's insane, that it's already been five years.
I miss him.

I'm lame, but who cares?
Gossip Girl is back on tomorrow night!!! YES!!! Hahahha. I'm also interested in watching One Tree Hill tomorrow, just because that was a huuuuuge cliff hanger they left and I'm curious.
I'm also fairly interested in the 90210... I just remember growing up, staying up past my bedtime, and defing my parents to watch it anyway hahahahaha.
Grey's and Ugly Betty both return Thursday, Sept 25, and Housewives on Sunday, Sept 28.
But the best thing coming out this September??? Sex and the City DVD out on Sept 23!!!!!!

holy crap. this week, ten years ago in 1998, i was starting high school. wtf! i just checked st matthias' web site and sure enough, their first day of classes is this wednesday.
has it really been ten years???? jeez!!!
random, this weekend was fun. for the life of me i cant remember what i did friday.
but yet i can remember my first few days at st. matthias. HAHAHAH i remember discreetly trying to hide my pager by clipping it to my skirt, and pulling out my tucked in blouse just enough to barely stay tucked in but cover it. HAHAHA but then when i stretched my ugly pager was there for all to see.
so costco is my new best friend!! i found out i could return my broken gps, minus the box, minus the manual, and minus a software cd, for full price! hahah. they gave me a hard time about not bringing back the manual and cd, but still gave me a full refund! i turned around and bought another gps system with it. and random, while i was waiting in line saw my grand big sis wendy! hahah i was standing behind for the longest time trying to figure out if it was her or not... then she moved a little and i saw that she was wearing the epsilon class rush shirt. and hooray because lately i've been craving cheesecake factory cheesecake and costco sells a selection of 4 flavors for about 15 bucks.
sunday hung out with the cousins and played with the new gps.
sadly, the old one was a crappy brand, but it was their high end model so i liked the features on that one better (until of course it broke when i tried to charge it) then the one i bought is the best selling brand, but their low end model. it's super slow and isn't as fun as the old one. i've decided i'll return the gps once work buys me the iphone, and then maybe after thanksgiving on black friday i'll look into buying a better gps for hopefully cheaper
so anyway, hung out with the cousins. hooray for pinks and trying to tan while standing in line, and haha to being rachell's shade. hahaha to being marie's entourage at the art store just so i could stare at the hot guy helping her. yay for yummy yogurt. haha to making fun of princess for stripping off her bra and leaving it in the car for all the world to see. hahahha for like the twenty minute long conversation on the ride home about the hot guy (justin) from the art store.
now i'm back at work and i'm being lazy as fuck. gah.
